Valuations for insurance & probate

The Trevor Towner showroom can carry out two types of valuation:

Valuations for Insurance
This type of valuation is the cost of replacement of an item as new. The charge for this work is £35.25 including VAT up to £2,000 in value. Thereafter the cost will be £11.75 including VAT for each additional £1,000 in value.

Valuations for Probate
This type of valuation is for the actual value of the items on the open market. The charge for this work is £47 including VAT up to £2,000 in value. Thereafter the cost will be £23.50 including VAT for each additional £1,000 in value
Please include full details of name, address and post code of the person who should receive the probate valuation together with the full name of the deceased.

For valuations for insurance or probate, you will need to call the showroom on 01730 261613 to book your valuation, which should last no longer than a week unless a considerable number of items are involved.

Please bring the items to the Lyndum House showroom on the appointed date together with a written or typed list of the jewellery or silver. We will then contact you as soon as the work is done and you will receive a detailed typed schedule.

Please do not bring lots of boxes as the items are kept in the safe and there is limited room for boxes.
